Community Calendar Photo Competition is back!

We are so excited to be launching the Shoreham-by-sea Community Calendar 2026 to raise funds for a local charity, Esteem, who offers social, wellbeing, volunteering, and mentoring opportunities to young adults aged between 14-26. This calendar has been a great success in the past, raising funds for The Dogs Trust, Shoreham Food Bank and The Circular Space. Let’s celebrate our community and town. With so many historical sites, events, markets and beautiful landscapes, there is so much to capture. So, scroll your photos, grab your cameras and get involved! This exciting community project engages through a Facebook photography competition. Submit your photos showcasing the beauty of Shoreham and its surroundings. This is then followed by a community vote with the top twelve featured in the calendar, each representing a different month. Winners also receive a framed gift of their winning image. This is competition is FREE to enter and open to everyone. So, whether you’re a professional or a snap happy bystander – you could be a winner and help raise funds for our community.

Founded by Aaron Broadhouse (Photal Photographer Framers), and Stephanie Young (saydesignUK) during lockdown in 2021, a variety of local businesses and groups have joined the project. This includes ongoing support by the Shoreham Society and Barking Banana, plus new sponsors; L & S Printing, Inside Magazine, Shoreham Gallery, Marlipins Museum and Shoreham Wordfest.
